Good morning. My name is Karen Steele and I help people to relax, rebuild and renew.
Massage therapy and yoga therapy share their scope of practice in that they both affect the soft tissues of the body including muscles, tendons and ligaments which in turn affect the joints, movement and posture. Both techniques affect all the physiological systems like hormones, digestion, circulation and immune function. Both techniques also affect clarity of mind and mood.
The difference between them is that massage therapy involves the manipulation of the soft tissues by the RMT and yoga therapy is a self-empowerment tool that requires you to do a daily practice.
As an RMT and a Yoga Therapist, I help to bridge the gap between their differences, providing the opportunity for clients to be able to just be on the table and offering tidbits of what they can do to enhance the effects of massage through breath work and gentle movement.
Who do you know who would like to feel better in their body and mind?
Have them contact me, Karen Steele, helping people to relax, rebuild and renew.
